What Marketing Lead DACH are we looking for?

This is a new role within Cloud86, which brings many opportunities. As our Marketing Lead DACH, you'll play a key role in shaping our growth strategy for the German market. You will be responsible for driving customer acquisition, engagement and retention through data-driven marketing campaigns. You'll work closely with the (central) marketing team to identify growth opportunities, optimize marketing efforts, and achieve ambitious growth goals. A skilled communicator with a business development mindset. You connect with local customers/ partners and translate this into business opportunities and marketing tactics. 

The perfect candidate will have a proven track record in growth marketing, with experience in scaling. We have an ambitious growth strategy to help 100,000 customers achieve their online ambitions by the end of 2026. We will not limit ourselves to our home market and will continue to expand across Europe. 

What will you be doing?

  • Developing and implementing local growth marketing strategies for the DACH market: Create and implement marketing plans that increase visibility and boost customer acquisition. 
  • Market research and competitive analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analyses to gain insights into marketing strategy and tactics. 
  • Content creation and localization: Lead the development and adaptation of content to ensure relevance and appeal to the German audience, including website content, email, and campaigns. 
  • Managing digital performance marketing campaigns: Develop and manage effective digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media strategies, specifically targeting the German market. 
  • Make sure customers have the best online experience, onboarding and improve website conversion. 
  • Analysis and reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing activities, and report on the results to ensure continuous improvement and optimization of campaigns. 

What you will bring

  • A proven track record in growth marketing, you have expertise in scaling up (performance) marketing 
  • Experience in local market strategy: Deep knowledge of and experience with developing and executing successful marketing strategies in the German/ DACH markets. 
  • Perfect spoken and written communication in German and English 
  • A passionate marketer with 5+ years of experience in growth marketing, preferably in the web hosting, SaaS or tech industry. 
  • Analytical Skills: A data-driven individual with the capacity to interpret market data and translate these insights into effective marketing strategies. 
  • Digital marketing expertise: Extensive experience with digital marketing, including knowledge of SEO, PPC, email marketing, and social media strategies. 
  • An entrepreneurial team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is always on the lookout for new learning opportunities. 
  • Communication skills: Excellent communication skills in both German and English, with the ability to communicate persuasively and clearly
