1. Ask your current hosting provider for your transfer key
A domain transfer key (also called EPP key) is a kind of password that’s used to prevent your domain from being transferred without your permission. A domain cannot be transferred to another provider without this code.
2. Move the domain to Cloud86
Enter the domain you want to transfer. Then click on ‘Transfer your domain’. You will then need to enter the transfer key (also called EPP key). After that, click on ‘Order now’.
3. Keep an eye on your email
For some extensions, you will also receive an email where you need to confirm the transfer of your domain. Your domain will then only be transferred if you’ve confirmed the transfer through that email. Once the domain has been transferred, you’ll also get a confirmation email.
4. Park or redirect your domain, or host a website
As soon as your domain has been transferred to us, and if you have a web hosting plan with us, you can build a website on it or redirect it to another website. You can also simply park the domain without purchasing a web hosting plan, if you want to keep it for the future.
